Summary: The goal of the paper was to identify the topics present in students’ narratives related to the changed way of schooling during the Corona virus pandemic on a sample of 100 students of the fifth grade of primary school in the Republic of Serbia (60 girls and 40 boys). The applied methodology involved the collection of data in the form of a narrative using the genre of letter writing. The students dealt with a topic related to their recommendations to their peers in another country in terms of expectations from online teaching: events, preparations, thinking, and behaviour related to the changed conditions in schools. The qualitative analysis of the students’ answers about teaching during the pandemic revealed two central themes: the experience of the changes in education (fifth grade, learning, teaching organisation) and advice for observing epidemiological measures (new time-table, shorter classes, wearing masks, physical distance, disinfection, following the rules, teachers, new subjects, grades, tests, and learning). The students expressed a high level of compliance with epidemiological measures and a sense of responsibility for the health of other people, which is in line with previous research. The obtained findings can provide us with useful information regarding the organisation of classes in changed circumstances, with an inevitable consideration of students’ opinions.
